Applications for free/reduced meals for the 2021-22 school year will be available July 1st, 2021. Please be sure to fill out a new application each year. The applications for the 2020-21 school year will expire September 20, 2021. Please contact the School Nutrition Office at 662-840-1857 or 662-840-1840 for more information. It is very important to know that all students are required to pay full price ($2.75 PK - $3.00 k-12) for meals until an application has been approved. Applications are approved within 30 days of arriving at the nutrition office. Applications are available online.
You can fill out an application at MySchoolApp Starting July 1, 2021. This application will be downloaded directly to Child Nutrition office and it's secure.

Only complete one application per family. The information you give will be used to determine or prove your child's eligibility for free or reduced-priced meals. This information may also be used for other state or federally funded school benefits. (examples: P-EBT, after school programs, etc.)
Factors considered in the application process are household size and total household income. HOUSEHOLD SIZE is considered all persons, related or unrelated: Including parents, children, grandparents who live in your home and share living expenses. The TOTAL HOUSEHOLD INCOME is the income each household member received last month before taxes - this includes wages, social security, pension, unemployment, welfare, child support, alimony, and any other cash income.
Foster children are categorically eligible for free meal benefits. An application is not needed yet there does need to be documentation of status by a state or local entity familiar with the child's status. Foster children may be included in the household application as part of the household size.
